RTR acquires two photovoltaic plants in Tuscany and reaches 334MW
RTR, Italy’s leading independent solar energy platform, acquired two more operating PV plants. Both are located near Arezzo, in Tuscany. Each plant has an installed capacity of 1 MW.
The two plants generate enough energy to meet the annual needs of about 1,000 families – saving about 1,400 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
“This further acquisition brings RTR to a total of 334 MW installed for 134 plants spread over more than 100 municipalities, and shows our ability to continue consolidating the Italian PV market,” explains Filippo Chiesa, RTR’s Head of M&A.
“The acquisition of these two new plants clearly speaks to our consolidation strategy: professional and fast analysis, careful selection and rapid integration into our portfolio. As a confirmation, a few days after the acquisition the two plants are already integrated into RTR’s real-time monitoring system. The photovoltaic market in Italy still offers thousands of opportunities to acquire small and mid-size industrial plants. RTR will concentrate its acquisition strategy within that segment, which accounts for more than 5,000 MW,” explains RTR’s CEO, Ingmar Wilhelm.
